Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Dominic Calvert-Lewin is close to signing a new contract with Everton.
The striker has been in brilliant form this season and is currently the club's top goalscorer with 13 Premier League strikes - his best return in a royal blue shirt since joining from Sheffield United in 2016.
Fellow in-form youngster Mason Holgate committed his long-term future to the club earlier this week, and Ancelotti is confident that Calvert-Lewin will soon follow suit.
He told his pre-Chelsea press conference: "We are close to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and I hope he is going to sign soon, and so the idea for the future is really clear for us.
"I think that they are talking, they are very close, and soon he is going to sign."

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has signed a new five-year contract with Everton.
Striker Calvert-Lewin, who has penned a deal until June 2025, has hit eight goals in his past 10 Premier League games and is the division’s leading scorer in the period since Boxing Day.
The 22-year-old has started 76 games and appeared 48 times from the bench after joining Everton from Sheffield United in August 2016.
He has scored 15 times in all competitions this season and become a focal point of manager Carlo Ancelotti’s attack, starting all 10 league games since the Italian was appointed back in December.
Calvert-Lewin’s 13 Premier League goals in 2019/20 have come from 21 starts and five substitute appearances.
“This is a very proud day. It has been enjoyable for me since the start at Everton and I am enjoying every day coming into training and every minute on the football pitch,” Calvert-Lewin told evertontv.
“The turnaround we have had since December is fantastic and the belief in ourselves we are back up there and can compete with the best is well and truly there.
“And with a man like Carlo leading the ship it makes it easier for us to believe in the process.
“We want to be in Europe and competing in the top competitions.
“It would mean that bit more to win trophies here because of the journey I have been on with Everton and Evertonians.
“It feels personal and that is how I like it.
“Personally, I want to get to that next level.
“I like to think I have shown I am ready to live up to the expectations of being Everton’s number nine.
“But I am well aware of how much I need to improve and how much better I can do.
"I love where I am and the position I am in and I love playing for Everton Football Club."

Carlo Ancelotti said Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a key part of Everton’s future who has the potential to become “one of the best strikers in Europe” after the attacker signed a new five-year contract with the Club on Friday.
Calvert-Lewin joins fellow talented Englishman Mason Holgate in committing to the Club, with the defender also penning a five-year contract this week.
Both have thrived under Ancelotti’s tutelage, with Calvert-Lewin hitting eight Premier League goals since his appointment on 21 December. No player has scored more top-flight goals during that period.
Ancelotti praised Calvert-Lewin’s expansive range of qualities on the pitch as well as highlighting the 22-year-old’s strong character and attitude.
“Dominic is a very important player for us and for the future of Everton,” he said.
“He is a player with a lot of quality.
“Dominic has all the attributes to become one of the best strikers in England and in Europe. He is fast, has good skills, is strong in the air and works extremely hard for the team.
“He also has a fantastic mentality and his desire to improve has impressed me ever since I came to the Club.
“I am very happy he has signed this new contract, in the same week Mason Holgate committed his future to the Club, and I am confident they will be important players as we aim to bring success to Everton.”
