Fabrizio Romano said of the recently turned 21 year old:
“Everton will fight for Kean, or receive €60 or €70 million or keep the player. “Ancelotti is a big fan of Moise Kean. In my opinion, they are planning for him as the star for next season.” [Fabrizio Romano]
Kean joined Everton on a five year deal from Juventus in August 2019 for an initial fee of £25.1 million, rising to £27.5 million. However his first season didn’t go to plan as he struggled to make an impact taking until January to score his first goal and only scoring twice in 31 games.
His loan to PSG has reinvigorated the player and he has scored 14 goals in 21 games, including one against Barcelona in the Champions League this week.
He is currently looking like the player Everton thought they were signing but there may be demand for him in the summer if his form continues.
Whilst the player is very much Everton’s and Ancelotti is seemingly a fan, they could be welcoming back one of the best young goal scores in Europe and Everton may be faced with a dilemma if the player should seek a move.
Due to his age, his best years are likely to be ahead of him but the player did struggle for form and confidence in the Premier League and an argument could be made that he is playing in a less competitive league this season.
With his value rising, Everton may be tempted to cash in on the young Italian international especially if PSG decide they want to keep him and Juventus are seeking a partner for Alvaro Morata.
Everton will likely have a decision to make come the summer.
