I'll believe it when I see it!
I'm concerned about Rodriguez even if he signs because I'm not sure if the Premier League will suit him. It's not like Spain where the football is in 'short bursts'. As long as we get Doucore done, I'll view Rodriguez as a bit of a bonus, but I think we need Doucoure or similar in the midfield.
Now that the deal is done, I find it interesting that he's only signed a 2 year deal with the option of another year. Is he being cautious? - probably so, as he's left a massive club in Real Madrid, even though his games were fewer than he expected. I hope he lives up to his promises. I agree Avinalaff we still need that extra man in Doucore. I look forward to being allowed back into Goodison. I'm probably going to change my predictions like you.

A lot will depend on his success here, and our own success over the next few seasons. Having Carlo, and the likes of Rodriguez coming on board is fantastic, but we have to start showing that Everton 'are' a team on the up, and it 'is' a club that top players can embrace. A trophy would do us the world of good, as wold European football.

Everton can confirm the Club has activated the option to extend Abdoulaye Doucoure’s contract until the end of June 2024.
The Blues moved to add a further 12 months to the midfielder’s existing deal before the stipulated deadline.
Doucoure, who has made 94 appearances and has 18 goal involvements (nine goals, nine assists) for Everton since completing a switch from Watford in September 2020, has become a key figure since the arrival of manager Sean Dyche in late January.
Goals from the Mali international at Nottingham Forest and Chelsea helped earn the Toffees a pair of 2-2 draws, while an excellent double at Brighton & Hove Albion set Everton on their way to a 5-1 victory.
