Watford have rejected a £30m offer from Everton for midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and have no intention of selling to the Toffees. The 26-year-old joined the Hornets in 2016 and played under current Everton boss Marco Silva at Vicarage Road. It is understood Frenchman Doucoure would not be willing to consider a move to a club outside the Premier League's established top six teams.

The papers are saying we bid 40 million now and that was rejected too so I doubt this will happen.

Everton have confirmed their interest in Abdoulaye Doucoure by making an initial approach for the Watford midfielder, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The Daily Mirror reported at the start of the month that Carlo Ancelotti’s men were keen on Doucoure.
The report noted that Everton had two bids for Doucoure rejected last summer – one of which was worth £40 million.

Watford have rejected a bid from Everton for midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré.
The Watford Observer understands that the Toffees have submitted an opening offer for the 27-year-old Frenchman.
Reports from French media suggest that Doucouré had agreed personal terms with Everton.
However, it is understood that the Hornets have refused an offer from the Goodison Park club.
It has been claimed that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has made Doucouré his priority – and that a second bid for the French player is set to follow.

Even if Gbamin turns out to be the destructive force Idryssa Gueye left from us in 2019, we'll still need both Doucoure and another player who doesn't need telling: "Win the [this-and-that] ball back if they've got it off us.".
This may as well have been rocket science to our professionals last season.
The one tradeable player that represents a reasonable valuation above £15m remains Theo Walcott.
Although I still like him, the temptation to make a multi-club trade with Theo joining up with fellow ex-England internatinoal Andros Townsend at Crystal Palace, so that the sale of Wilfired Zaha can fund an upgrade on Palace's strikers Jordan Ayew/Christien Benteke really would make the task
of bringing James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure
all in this window so much easier.
