Everton striker Cenk Tosun has again given an interview to the Turkish media about his future plans.
Tosun has been vocal since the virus outbreak began and recent interviews he’s given to his country’s press made it clear he wants to fight for his place at Everton.
However, the 28 year old has now spoken to NtvSpor and revealed he would consider a move to Germany or Spain, if he were to leave the Premier League: “If I ever leave the Premier League, then I would like to play in Spain or Germany. I want to stay in Europe. I have no plans to return to Turkey right now. But, of course, I can consider returning to my country after a couple more years.”
Tosun said also it’s important for him to play regularly next season, and if he couldn’t get this chance at Everton, then he might have to look elsewhere: “I went to Crystal Palace to play regular first-team football but I got injured. Luckily, Euro 2020 was postponed.
“Now we have a big tournament to play next year. I hope I will get my chance at Everton. If not, then I have to make a plan. Because I need regular football.”
It’s likely Tosun may have a decision to make with regards to his future this summer, once he can prove he’s recovered from his knee injury. This season he got limited games with the Toffees and was subsequently was loaned to Crystal Palace.
There have been claims this week his former club Besiktas could look to bring him back to the Super Lig but given these comments it seems he isn’t interested heading back to Turkey.
He is still contracted to Everton until June 2022.

Leighton Baines has agreed a short-term deal to continue playing for Everton until the end of this season, while the long-serving left-back has also been offered a one-year contract for 2020/21.
As reported earlier this week, Maarten Stekelenburg will depart the Blues when his deal runs out at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, with the Dutch keeper returning to former club Ajax.
Djibril Sidibe has also signed an extension to his loan deal from Monaco to remain with the Club until the end of the season.
In the Under-23s squad, Morgan Feeney, Alex Denny, Matty Foulds, Manasse Mampala and Korede Adedoyin have all been released, and Kieran Phillips will leave the Club when he has completed the 2019/20 season on loan at Huddersfield Town.
Nathangelo Markelo and Con Ouzounidis have been offered new Everton deals.
Everton wishes to thank all departing players for their contribution throughout their time at the Club.
