Dominic Calvert-Lewin has emerged as a top target for Newcastle United as Eddie Howe draws up his shopping list for this summer.
The 25-year-old has had his season wrecked by injury after making a flying start with three goals in three games but he has slowly been making his way back to fitness.
Strong links with Arsenal appear to have cooled in recent weeks as the Gunners turn their attention to Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus which makes Newcastle the leading suitor for Calvert-Lewin if a report from The Telegraph is true and Everton are open to selling him.
The former Sheffield United striker exploded onto the national consciousness last season with a raft of goals and a call-up to the England squad and he remains one of the Blues' more saleable assets.

Richarlison is reportedly open to leaving Everton this summer with his agent in talks with clubs ‘from serious European leagues’.
The Brazilian forward signed for the Toffees in 2018 for a fee that could potentially rise to £50m.
Everton trio join Man City’s penalty bungler in Premier League weekend’s worst XI…
He has scored 52 goals and provided 14 assists in 151 matches for the Premier League outfit.
Richarlison has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United in recent weeks, with Everton yet to receive a bid, according to multiple reports.
Goal Brasil (via Sport Witness) report that the Brazil international is looking to join a ‘giant’ in Europe and ‘dreams’ of fighting for titles.
His agent, Renato Velasco, is reportedly in talks with clubs ‘from serious European leagues’ and is attempting to take him to a ‘giant of world football’.
Apparently, Richarlison would ‘prefer’ to remain in the Premier League.
Never short of updates on the situation of Richarlison, the Brazilian media today brings more information on the future of the Everton star.
Goal writes there are three clubs who have made approaches for the player and are still in the picture for his signing. Those are Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain.
The three clubs made contact to learn the conditions for a summer move, with the ‘most recent’ interest coming from the Bundesliga giants. The Red Devils and the French side had been chasing him for a longer time.
However, with Everton not having set a price for the sale yet, none of the clubs advanced with a formal bid. They’re said to be monitoring and ‘willing to invest’ to get him signed this summer.
