Everton’s Dixie Awards to reach global audience with brand-new format

Everton Football Club’s awards – The Dixies – will reach more fans than ever before thanks to a brand-new online format.

The 2018-19 awards will take the form of a magazine-style show, which will be broadcast on Everton’s digital channels in May.

Fans from around the world will be able to go online to find out the winners and watch exclusive interviews.

The Dixies salute Evertonians past and present, with awards including the SportPesa Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season, Ladies Player of the Season and Under-23 Player of the Season.

The Chairman’s Blueblood Award – bestowed to someone who “embodies the Evertonian spirit” – will also be presented, along with the Howard Kendall Award, which recognises an outstanding achievement at the Club.

The Fan of the Year prize will also be awarded, while a former player will be inducted into the Club's Hall of Fame and named as the latest Everton Giant.

Voting for three categories – Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season and Goal of the Season is open now.

Everton members will be able to watch The Dixies during an exclusive preview period on Friday, 10 May, before the content is made available to a wider audience via Everton’s official channels.

Making the full ceremony accessible online will give all Evertonians across the world, including members of the Club's International Supporters' Clubs, the chance to get closer to the action as the winners of The Dixies are revealed.
