Silva Expecting Tough Test From Gor MahiaMarco Silva expects a tough workout when his Everton side host Kenyan league champions Gor Mahia as he prepares to use Tuesday night's friendly as a chance to rotate his squad. The Blues boss has named an unchanged line-up for the past three Premier League games but recognises there are members of his squad in need of minutes to keep them sharp. Everton welcome Gor Mahia to Goodison (7pm kick-off) after the Kenyan side – who faced the Blues in Tanzania in the summer of 2017 – retained the SportPesa Super Cup with a 2-0 win over Simba SC Tanzania 2-0 at the Afraha Stadium. Silva is expecting a different style of football to that seen at the Grand Old Lady on Saturday, where the Toffees ran out 3-1 winners against Brighton & Hove Albion, but is looking forward to the challenge. “I expect a tough game,” he said. “We will make sure we recover our players and prepare our squad. The match will be a good moment for us to see different players playing. It is a big moment for Gor Mahia to come here for the first time to play in England. “We are ready for anything but it is also a chance for me to give minutes to certain players. We had a tough game against Brighton and some of the players from that match won’t be involved. “Always when you are playing a football game, it is not just a good opportunity to see our players but also those of our opponents as well. [On Tuesday] we will have the chance to see new players at our stadium.” Everton travelled to Tanzania in July 2017 to face inaugural SportPesa Super Cup winners Gor Mahia in a game the Blues won 2-1. While in Tanzania, the Toffees, alongside SportPesa, won hearts and minds in the region when they took part in a range of promotional and charitable activities across Dar es Salaam. Global gaming giant SportPesa is the Club’s Main Principal Partner. The company has grown dramatically since its inception in 2014 and quickly established itself as a significant investor and operator in the online gaming industry. Showing their commitment to the Liverpool city-region SportPesa set up its European HQ in Liverpool creating more than 100 jobs in the city. As Africa’s leading sports gaming platform, SportPesa has acquired the status of a ‘super brand’ on the continent and is changing lives by accelerating development through sports and well-structured community initiatives. Everton and Sportpesa were recently rewarded for their partnership at the Sports Industry Awards, in the Best African Sponsorship and Pan-Africa Campaign of the Year categories. Everton FC
