Here is how the Everton loanees got on this weekend…
Luke Garbutt – Oxford United
Another day to forget for the Everton left-back as Oxford lost 2-0 to Fleetwood Town.
He was even publicly criticised by his manager Karl Robinson in the press, who suggested he, along with the rest of the Oxford defenders, must ‘stand up and be counted’.
Henry Onyekuru – Galatasaray
The Nigerian played 84 minutes of Galatasaray’s opening day 3-1 win against Ankaragucu.
Shani Tarashaj – Grasshoppers
Came on at half-time as his side picked up their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw against FC Lugano.
Ashley Williams – Stoke City
Came on for his debut after 26 minutes after Bruno Martins Indi pulled up injured. The Welshman put in a decent display in a 1-1 draw with Brentford.
Antonee Robinson and Callum Connolly – Wigan Athletic
Both were unfortunate to be on the receiving end of a 3-2 defeat v Aston Villa.
The left-back Robinson was not as impressive as he was on opening day a weekend ago. However, Connolly had a debut to remember. He scored Wigan’s second goal of the game.
Kevin Mirallas – Fiorentina
The Belgian made his debut for La Viola at the weekend. However, a 3-0 thrashing in their friendly of pre-season v Schalke 04 was not the ideal start.

Everton loanee Joe Williams labelled ‘immense’ after Bolton debut Williams made his Trotters debut this weekend. The 20-year-old featured in a 2-2 draw with Preston North End. It was a performance that left his manager Phil Parkinson ecstatic, telling the Bolton News that the young midfielder was ‘immense’ in the fixture.
Such praise highlights the talent the midfield operator has. Everton are certainly aware of that fact. As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees insisted on a recall clause on the deal, suggesting they see him as close to first-team football.

Everton youngster Antonee Robinson has been ruled out until the new year after surgery on an ankle injury.
The full-back is currently on a season-long loan at Wigan where he has been a regular for Paul Cook’s side this season.
However, Robinson hasn’t featured since the Latics’ defeat at Middlesbrough on November 10 due to injury and the decision has now been taken for him to go under the knife.
