We got lucky against Watford. We play the worst team in the league next, so fans will think Unsworth is working his magic if we win. It's no better than under Koeman. We've been a one half team since Martinez.

The result was a big relief, but the performance was same old, until we scored. Our starting eleven is just as poor under Unsworth as it is under Koeman, and for a team that can't score goals, playing just one striker is baffling. Sigurdsson is as disappointing as I expected him to be before we signed him, and needs to be moved on if he doesn't improve. Rooney is hit and miss, and isn't doing enough in my book.Unless we get a manager who can pick a team that will start well. we're in trouble. Sometimes we fans think we know better than the managers but I could never understand why we signed a player so one dimensional at an extortionate price. He's a free-kick specialist who needs a target man to do well. Even Youtube couldn't make him look special. You're right, though. we're still a million miles away from being safe and a good team. Remember this discussion about Ross v Sig?

admin I'm sure we could have found someone in Europe who was just as good and half the price. Problem is that Koeman wanted the finished article and someone proven in the Premiership. I get that and maybe with a target man things would have been different. Personally, I would have rather we planned for the longer term and brought in players cheaper and younger who may have turned out to be very good for us at worse we could make a decent profit but no ones gonna pay over 45M for Siggy.

We could easily have lost this game. We were fortunate that things went our way but some fans seem to think our problems are over. does anybody else think that?
