In total, 29 teams have qualifed to the play-offs, with 15 clubs from the UEFA Champions League also entering the competition.
Each team was seeded according to their coefficient and split into groups, meaning the highest-ranked sides have been kept apart.
Everton, who were seeded, reached this stage by overcoming Slovakian outfit MFK Ružomberok with a pair of 1-0 wins, while Croatian outfit Hajduk Split defeated Brøndby 2-0 on aggregate to reach the play-offs.
The Blues host Joan Carrillo’s side at Goodison Park on Thursday, before travelling to the 34,198-capacity Stadion Poljud for the second leg seven days later.
Winners of the following two-legged ties will qualify for the group stages of the 2017/18 Europa League.
