He may not have kicked a ball in England yet, or got every supporter behind him, but Henry Onyekuru is widely considered a fan favourite for the potential he possesses. We may have to wait even longer to witness what the Nigerian winger has in store for us, though, as Takvim are reporting that Galatasaray are still in contact with the club over prolonging his time in Turkey. It is noted that the new arrangement would only be for another year, but that would mean another season of waiting, although it would strengthen his chances of obtaining a UK work permit if one is not issued this year. Negotiations seem to be advancing as well, as Galatasaray are already ramping up their transfer plans beyond Onyekuru, who has scored 11 goals and assisted a further three in 24 Super Lig games this term. We need another striker so if we're trying to build a young squad should we try and get him over here? If we pay for a striker, he's going to be further down the pecking order.

Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru has spoken to Turkish media ahead of this weekend’s derby clash with Besiktas.
The youngster is currently on loan with Galatasaray, but it’s expected he’ll return to Everton this summer.
As covered by Fotomac, Onyekuru was asked about his future following interest from other clubs: “I’m not focusing on my future now. We have four very important games before the end of the season, and I am completely focused on these matches. Our biggest aim is to make double. After that, we’ll see what will happen for me.”
In recent months Onyekuru has been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Bayern Munich but he could still be part of Marco Silva’s plans next season.
