7th is an indication of where we are as a football club. By the time you look at Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City, that's the first 3 places taken nearly every season, and we then have to ask ourselves if we're better than Spurs, Manchester United or Liverpool. How do we get past these clubs? One answer is not to drop points against any of the teams below us, then win the mini league between those 4 teams, but it's harder said than done. Liverpool would win the head to head league out of the top 7 teams but they are sloppy against the bottom 13. Manchester United are steadying their ship, and Spurs are now very consistent. Realistically we should be looking to beat Liverpool and Manchester United and finish in 5th this season if we can, and if we can't, then 7th is where we belong. Slip up though and it quickly becomes 8th.
