Another 2 week break. No doubt our players will go over to Dubai and sit in the sun pretending that it's an important part of training for the English weather. They've announced it so yes. The club go there every year so it's no surprise. I just hope when they return they have the mental state to beat their former team mates and manager knowing they're likely to get relegated. It won't be an easy game that's for sure. They played well against them first time so I don't think there will be any room for sentiment. If it was the final day of the season and we didn't need the points and they did then I'd question a loss, but they're supposed to be professionals.

If Moyes gets relegated then serve him right. He had a good job here and didn't think about anybody but himself when he left so I won't lose a second of sleep over it.

Stuart Attwell to referee Everton v Sunderland this weekendWarwickshire official was in charge of Boxing Day win over Leicester CityStuart Attwell will referee Everton's game at home to Sunderland on Saturday at Goodison. The Warwickshire official has only taken charge of one Blues' game this season - Boxing Day's 2-0 win over Leicester City. In 20 games this term, Attwell has shown 69 yellow card and seven reds - including three in one game between Brighton and Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. Attwell only dished out four red cards last term, one of which was to Kevin Mirallas at Swansea in September 2015. Everton are returning to action for the first time in two weeks after an enforced break following their exit from the FA Cup. Ronald Koeman took his squad to Dubai for a five day training camp last week where they won a friendly game with Chinese side FC Shenzhen 4-0. Liv Echo

Retro Day Returns To Goodison ParkAfter resoundingly successful Retro Days in each of the last three seasons, we are again celebrating football nostalgia at Goodison Park this Saturday. This year’s celebrations will mark the 30th anniversary of the Club’s glorious 1986/87 campaign that saw Howard Kendall’s side secure the league title. Fans young and old are encouraged to wear their retro shirts - if you have a shirt from that season, all the better! General admission tickets for the game game are sold out, but off-site hospitality is still available - click here for more information. FAN ZONEFormer Blues Paul Wilkinson and Ian Snodin - both members of that glorious 1986/97 side - will be on the Fan Zone to look back at their success as players and also preview the game against Sunderland. We will also be giving away retro-themed hats, pin badges and flags ahead of kick-off. Late-1980s music will dominate the pre-match playlist, while live tunes will be provided by the Mac Brothers. On top of all this, we’ll have a retro quiz and plenty of video highlights from the 1986/87 campaign to enjoy while you take advantage of the food and drink on offer. Hosts Jen and Gav will kick-off proceedings at 1pm. MATCHDAY HUBAlso opening at noon, the Hub is the perfect place for Blue families, with free football coaching sessions available for younger fans before the big kick-off. There will also be a Heritage Society display, a picture quiz, Match Attax, craft sessions, children’s games and face painting, as well as more retro giveaways. Like the Fan Zone, there is plenty of food and drink, including a Children’s Meal Deal offer of £4.50 for chicken nuggets or a hot dog with fries and a soft drink. ST LUKE’S CHURCHOpen prior to kick off, why not pop in for a cup of tea or coffee and brush up on your Everton history? The Heritage Society will be showing off memorabilia and exhibitions themed around the Blues’ rich history. Everton in the Community’s partnership with KitAid also continues, with supporters coming to the game urged to bring old and unwanted kit to St Luke’s, so it can be transported and distributed to underprivileged children and adults in some of the world’s poorest countries.
