No secret that a few months ago Barcelona were planning to take Gerard Deulofeu back to Spain. The Spaniard had finally shown his skills during his-month spell at AC Milan and the blaugrana were considering (and are still considering) whether to activate their € 12 million buy-back clause to take the Spaniard back to the Cam Nou. Barcelona, however, are still in two minds and the player believes that a return to Barcelona won’t be the best option for his future. Thanks to his AC Milan loan spell, Deulofeu has made return to Spain national team and according to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport he wants to make return to the San Siro. The 23-year-old, in fact, joined the rossoneri in a dry loan spell last January and, at the moment, he has made return to his former club Everton, waiting for Barcelona’s final decision on his future. Despite Barcelona’s option to buy, Deulofeu can refuse to return to Barcelona. The World Cup will be played in Russia next summer and he wants to be part of Spain national team. In order to do that he needs to get as much game time as he can. AC Milan can meet the player’s expectations and Barcelona may not, that’s why Deulofeu wants to make return to AC Milan. The rossoneri have talked about Deulofeu’s future during yesterday’s meeting with Everton’s Steve Walsh. In all honesty, I liked Geri I just wish he strived more but he feels he can not do the work that Koeman requires

I read he might be going back to Barcelona. Surprised they'd want him back but then if we don't want him and Milan aren't keen then they buy him and look for a suitor. He seems to have it all in his locker but there's a mental block somewhere.

Rumours are he doesn't want to go back to Barcelona , watched him last night v Portugal u21's , he showed flashes , but gave the ball away consistently and looked knackered after 1hr.
I think he will struggle to find a consistent place at any club
