Everton want to do swap deal with Sunderland, will give Moyes £10m star Everton manager Ronald Koeman is desperate to sign Sunderland defender Lamine Kone in January and will include James McCarthy as part of the deal. The Ivory Coast international has impressed on Wearside since joining the Stadium of Light outfit last January and played a crucial role in the club staying in the Premier League last season. Everton tried to tempt the African enforcer to Goodison Park in the summer but were unsuccessful, with the latest report suggesting that the Merseysiders will make another attempt this month. It suggests that McCarthy is not viewed as surplus to requirements by Koeman following the signature of Morgan Schneiderlin and that the Republic of Ireland international will be allowed to leave the club for around £10 million. The former Wigan Athletic midfielder is seemingly set to be offered to Sunderland as part of the Kone deal, which could well work to both parties’ advantage. The Ivorian defender is currently on international duty with his country at the African Cup of Nations. Source: 90minutesonline.com

I'd rather trade Phil Jagielka to be honest.

Koeman seemed to think so, but I can't see Moyes wanting to sell him.

They're hardly setting records for clean sheets at Sunderland.
