Josh Bowler - Profile
Winger Josh joined Everton in July 2017, penning a three-year deal.
A product of Queens Park Rangers’ academy system, he completed his move from Loftus Road to Goodison Park having made his first-team debut for the Londoners on the final day of the 2016/17 season, aged just 18.
A left-footer who has been noted for his close control and dribbling ability, he prefers to impact games by cutting in from the right.
Josh became the fourth summer addition to David Unsworth’s Under-23s squad, following Nathangelo Markelo, Anton Donkor and Boris Mathis in signing on with the Blues.
“I’m really excited to join Everton – it’s a fantastic opportunity for me,” said Bowler. “This is a club on the up at every level. I can’t wait to get started, meet the other lads and begin working with David Unsworth.
“I’m a direct player, I feel like I can bring excitement in the final third and this is the perfect place for me to continue my education and development.”
Josh played his first game for Everton u23's in a pre-season friendly against Flint Town on 8th July 2017.
In 2018-19 the under 23 team went on to win both the Premier League 2 league title and the Premier League Cup.
On 18th July 2019, Everton announced that Josh had signed a 1 year contract extension, and would join Hull City on loan for the 2019-20 season.
Contracted until: June 2021.
