Vastly experienced, Barry is a Premier League winner and arrived on Merseyside with over 50 England caps and having captained his country.

Born in Hastings, he was part of Brighton's youth set-up before switching to Aston Villa and making his senior debut in central defence aged just 17.

Barry joined an elite club in surpassing 500 Premier League appearances during his first spell at Goodison, one which saw him score three goals in 37 outings and help the Blues seal a return to European competition for the first time since 2010.

Gareth won both Everton’s Player Of The Season, and Players’ Player of the Season for 2016/17.

On 16th December 2016 Gareth Barry signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until June 2018.
