*Born in Kinshasa, Congo, the central midfielder is also eligible to represent England.

Beni Baningime signed his first professional contract with Everton in October 2016 until the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

A product of Everton's famed youth academy, Baningime has been on the books with the Blues since moving to England from the Democratic Republic of Congo as an eight-year-old.

A gifted midfielder, Baningime is highly regarded by Everton's coaching staff at their Finch Farm training base in Halewood.

Beni has progressed through the youth ranks, and gained his first taste of silverware when the Toffees' Under-18s side secured the Dallas Cup in March - a trophy that Baningime lifted as Captain of the team.

Such was the good form and potential on display from Baningime, the centre midfielder was handed the opportunity to figure for David Unsworth's Under-23 side in the Checkatrade Trophy during the 2016-17 season.

And, speaking after the announcement, Unsworth revealed his excitement at seeing Baningime agree to extend his stay in L4.

He said: “Beni has been brilliant. His form has been outstanding over the last 18 months. Like at any level, if you produce performances, you get your rewards. His reward is an earlier pro contract than he thought he may have".

“Beni is a top lad who wants to learn, listens and applies himself in the Everton way. I’m very proud of him but this is just the start of his professional journey.”

Beni extended his contract with Everton on 12th October 2017 keeping him at the club until 2020.

A couple of weeks later made his professional debut in a League Cup game at Chelsea.

On 3rd May 2018 Beni signed a new 4 year deal.

On 31st January 2019, Everton announced that Beni had joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the 2018-19 season.

In 2018-19 the under 23 team went on to win both the Premier League 2 league title and the Premier League Cup.

On 1st February 2021, Everton announced that Baningime had joined Derby County on loan until the end of the 2020-21 season.

On Thursday 29th July 2021, Beni joined Scottish clubs Hearts on a permanent transfer. Everyone at Everton thanks Beni for his years of service and wishes him all the best for the future.
