At Everton between 2017 - 2019

On 24h July 2017, Everton Ladies completed the signing of Wales international Angharad James.

The midfielder was the Blue Girls’ fourth capture of the 2017 summer transfer window, joining on a free transfer after leaving Yeovil Town.

James made her name at Bristol City, helping the Vixens reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League in 2015.

Joining Notts County later that year, she became a free agent following their liquidation and linked up with Yeovil Town for the remainder of the 2017 Spring Series.

Having made her full international debut for Wales aged just 17 in an October 2011 clash with Scotland, James is now closing in on 50 caps for the Dragons.

“I’m delighted to sign for Everton,” James told evertontv. “It has been a tough few months with everything that happened previously at Notts County but I’m really excited to get started here. I’m really looking forward to it.

“We have been talking for a few weeks and it was a case of getting everything finalised. I’m really glad it’s all done and I can concentrate on playing for Everton.

“There is an environment here that I can thrive off. The level of the facilities here were definitely a factor in my decision, as well as the ambitions that Everton have.”

On 2nd October 2017, Angharad won Womens Player Of The Year in the Vauxhall FAW Awards (Football Association Of Wales).

On 11th July 2019, Everton Ladies announced that Angharad was to leave the club following the expiry of her contract.
