Watford vs EvertonEverton winger Yannick Bolasie damaged his cruciate ligament in the draw with Manchester United at Goodison and will be out of action for the remainder of the campaign.
He joins Mo Besic as a long-term absentee in the squad.
Seamus Coleman also exited last Sunday’s game with a knock but Ronald Koeman expects to have the Irishman available on Saturday.
Watford are without defenders Adrian Mariappa, Brice Dja Djedje and Craig Cathcart for Everton’s visit to Vicarage Road. However, Younes Kaboul and Daryl Janmaat could return after respective knocks.
On-loan Chelsea winger Kenedy is back at Stamford Bridge having treatment on a knee problem, and fellow South American Roberto Pereya is suspended after being sent off against West Brom.
FormLeighton Baines’ coolly taken penalty helped Everton earn a 1-1 draw with Manchester United last time out.
However, the Blues are still on a run of four games without a win and last tasted success on the road when they defeated Sunderland 3-0 in September.
The Hornets, meanwhile, sit in 11th with 18 points from their first 14 games. Two successive defeats to Stoke City and West Brom have stalled momentum gained from five wins in eight games, including the notable scalps of Manchester United and reigning champions Leicester City.
Last season’s meeting at Vicarage Road ended 1-1, as James McCarthy’s opener was cancelled out late on by Greece defender Jose Holebas.
Last MeetingWatford 1-1 Everton - 9 April, 2016
In a game of few chances, James McCarthy seized on an error from Miguel Britos to fire the Toffees in front with a minute of the first half remaining.
But the Hornets found an immediate equaliser through Jose Holebas.
Everton did have chances to snatch victory in Hertfordshire – Aaron Lennon was denied by Heurelho Gomes on a number of occasions, while Gerard Deulofeu also drew a fine save from the Brazilian.
In the final throes of the game, Romelu Lukaku struck the bar after a Kevin Mirallas free-kick had again tested Gomes.
One To Watch – Etienne Capoue
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been a regular source of goals from midfield for the Hornets this season with five to his name.
Formerly of Toulouse, the seven-cap France international spent five years as a regular in their midfield before a £9.3million deal took him across the Channel to White Hart Lane.
However, he struggled to cement a first team place and in 2015 Capoue signed for newly promoted Watford for a then club-record fee of £6.3million.
He regularly featured as the Golden Boys retained their Premier League status and has added goals this time around, netting in vital wins over West Ham, Manchester United and Leicester City.
Man in the Middle – Anthony Taylor
Taylor has been in charge of 17 domestic and international games this season, with his most recent outing in Turin overseeing Juventus’s Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb.
He has shown a total of 56 yellow cards and two reds, although both of those came in the recent encounter between Manchester City and Chelsea, with Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero earning early baths.
Taylor last officiated an Everton game back in October, with the Blues running out 2-0 winners over West Brom at Goodison.
