Hull City appoint Tony Pennock as first-team coachTony Pennock has been confirmed as a full-time member of Mike Phelan's backroom team at Hull City until the end of the season.Pennock joins Neil McDonald and Bobby Mimms in a new look coaching set-up supporting Phelan, stepping up from his position of academy manager. The 45-year-old has been with the Tigers since the summer of 2014 and has been credited with overseeing vast improvements in the club's youth ranks. Pennock has juggled his duties since Stephen Clemence's move to Aston Villa last month but will now hand over his responsibilities with the club's under age groups to Jon Beale, who was previously served as head of academy coaching. Pennock, who enjoyed a playing career with Wigan, Hereford and Yeovil, has not previously worked as a senior coach but recently declared his ambitions to make the step up.
