Once again Everton were beaten by a cross and a headed goal.
Something Koeman needs to stamp out?

We were lucky to get a draw today if we're totally honest. All we did throughout was defend and I found it reminiscent of watching Stoke years ago when they played the same way and that's not what I want to watch from our team, so I won't be celebrating the result with the same enthusiasm as many others. Lukaku scored a cracking goal but other than that I don't think we had much to offer, and once again our failure to buy a goalscorer is popping up. Valencia scored 2 midweek so what's the point in signing him if we don't play him? Koeman went there to defend, and he got what he wanted, but I hope we start to improve as the actual standard of football under Koeman is nothing to write home about.

It's important to remember that Koeman has had just 8 games to steady the ship, and one transfer window. Manchester City are probably the best team in the league, and we played them at their place, so a draw is a good result. As for performance, I doubt many teams will perform well against them, as they're too good, so don't judge anything on today.

I agree we can't take too much out of today, but we're now 8 games into the season, and what I'm seeing is a team that can't keep the ball like we did under Martinez, and can't get up for a game, like we did under Moyes. I think we 'are' becoming more like Stoke every day as mentioned.
