We should win this , but we all know the Everton way. Score early and concede late?

I can't believe he pulled the same old realistic crap on them. Fans want to hear about ambition, not truth. Would you rather have a realistic manager who is honest, or somebody like Martinez? Being realistic is ok if you have your feet under the table like he had here but it's not the best policy if you are joining a team that are genuine relegation candidates. It's probably better to raise expectation a bit and inspire the players. Martinez was none stop excuses and deflection.

Coleman in - Holgate outEverton make one change to the side that beat Stoke City as they prepare to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Fit-again Seamus Coleman, who played 90 minutes for Republic of Ireland against Serbia during the recent international break, returns to the starting line-up. He joins a back four of captain Phil Jagielka, Ashley Williams and Leighton Baines, with Maarten Stekelenburg between the sticks. Gareth Barry is set to make Premier League appearance number 599 of his stellar career and Idrissa Gana Gueye joins him in anchoring the midfield. Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley and Yannick Bolasie line up in the attacking roles behind striker Romelu Lukaku. The return of Coleman means Mason Holgate drops to the bench, where fellow youngster Tom Davies joins him. The substitutes for the Blues also include Joel Robles, Gerard Deulofeu, Arouna Kone, Aaron Lennon and Ramiro Funes Mori. Ronald Koeman was delighted to welcome Coleman back to the fold: “We know with Seamus Coleman that his offensive quality is one of his strengths," he told Sky Sports. "As a team, we like to play football, and I like to have attacking full-backs on both sides of the pitch. It’s good to have that kind of player in those positions. The Blues boss was also quizzed on what he expected of Sunderland, and what a boost Romelu Lukaku's brace for Belgium will have on the striker. "The start has been okay," he added. "Defensively, I think the team is more compact and we know it’s a good start but we’d like to continue it. It’s an important game tonight after the international break. "We know Sunderland are in a difficult situation. They need to win. We know we need to careful with how they start. Everyone must look at their own performance, and if we do that we can put in a good performance as a team. "It’s always positive for strikers [to score]. Maybe Lukaku’s two goals for Belgium will give him the boost he needs. We need to help, we need to support and we need to create chances for Romelu - then he will score."
