Coleman Fit To StartSeamus Coleman has been declared fit to start Monday's Premier League fixture at Sunderland.Everton will, however, be without James McCarthy for three weeks after the midfielder underwent surgery to address a groin complaint. Coleman is yet to feature for his club this campaign after picking up an ankle injury in pre-season, but played the full 90 minutes for Republic of Ireland against Serbia earlier this week. Having since returned to Finch Farm to rejoin Everton's preparations for the trip to the Stadium of Light, Coleman has now been deemed available for selection by Ronald Koeman. "He was fit to play [for Ireland] and he came back without any reaction," the Toffees chief told the media at Thursday's press conference. "He is fit to start. "James McCarthy had groin surgery and will be out for three weeks."

I don't know if others agree but given that Mason Holgate has been superb, should Coleman walk straight back in?
If something is working well, why change it?

I'm going to predict a 0-4 win for Everton. Because Moyes is manager, our players might be up for it. It's a bad game for fans on a Monday night though and those who have to get up for work on the Tuesday morning are not going to get much sleep.

'Reunion Won't Stop Our Run'Phil Jagielka is looking forward to visiting old friends at Sunderland, but says Everton will not be kind in their attempt to wrestle three points away on Monday night. Former Blues midfielder Jack Rodwell was already on Wearside when long-serving Toffees boss David Moyes took over from Sam Allardyce, and the Scot has since brought in Steven Pienaar and Victor Anichebe. Jagielka has played under or alongside the quartet in the royal blue and will be among the first to seek out his former colleagues when the team bus pulls in at the Stadium of Light - but when the whistle blows, friendships will be put aside. “[David Moyes] did a fantastic job here and he’s took on a difficult job at Sunderland, but they’re the sort of jobs he likes,” the skipper told The Everton Show. “I’m sure, given the time, he’ll do really well. “[Anichebe and Pienaar] are two lads I know really well and they did really well for this club but they’ll be out to get one over on their old employers and we’ll need to make sure that doesn’t happen. “It’s going to be a tough game, it always is up there. Monday night football means it’ll be nice to play under the floodlights, but we’ve had a pretty decent start and we’re desperate to keep the ball rolling.”
