EVERTON have overtaken Arsenal in the race to sign Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, according to the bookies. Portuguese publication O Jogo claim the Algeria international has already arrived in the UK to seal a £34million move to Goodison Park before tonight's deadline.
The Gunners have also been linked with the 26-year-old winger after missing out on Leicester's Riyad Mahrez, who opted to sign a new deal at the Premier League champions. And bookmakers BetStars have backed Everton as 5/6 favourites to sign Brahimi, with Arsenal considered outsiders in the market at odds of 9/4.
“Only a few days ago Arsenal led the chase for Yacine Brahimi but after heavy backing in the last 24 hours, another Premier League club look poised to sign the Algerian,” said a BetStars spokesman. Everton have shortened dramatically from 7/2 to in the last few days and are now the 5/6 odds-on favourites to sign Brahimi ahead of the Gunners at 9/4.
"We’re calling it, expect to see Brahimi in an Everton shirt before the window closes.”

Looks like it's off. Typical Everton.

Looks like it's off. Typical Everton. Not until the fat lady sings.

Everton favourites to beat Arsenal to winger deal Hope this happens as we are low in numbers for the squad.
We're low on Strikers, not Wingers. We've loads of Wingers. He's getting worse than Martinez for Wingers.
