So this is what it feels like to enjoy football? It's been so long since I did that this is an unusual feeling.Even during that opening 30 minutes that were not going well, I thought that Koeman can and will change it.
I was still surprised that he did it in the 1st half though, and instead of the obvious sub taking Gerard Deulofeu off, he did the right thing for me, and took the hopeless James McCarthy off and pushed Geri out wide, making us much more of a threat.
The Kevin Mirallas equaliser was pure sexual, with beautiful movement and one touch football leaving the Belgian in space and he calmly slotted home.
Mirallas looks a different player already under Koeman; gone are the dark days under that Spanish fella (Can't think of his name) and he is back to the player we first bought.
Yannick Bolasie was direct and quick, and but for 2 terrible shots from his team mates, should have had 2 assists to his name already.
Mason Holgate again was superb at the back, and continued to show we won't be missing that other Barnsley centre half.
While it's not a finished team, we are certainly showing quick progress under the new manager who is showing he isn't willing to take any nonsense, and crucially can admit, when he is wrong and remedy it.
Until next time.
