It shows the papers don't know ANYTHING. So, does that mean Stekelenburg is number one? It also shows the club might have been interested but didn't have the money to buy him.

Blues have to show Hart for JoeOpinion by Kevin Ratcliffe for Liv EchoI'll be very surprised if Everton aren't still in for Joe Hart. No disrespect to the goalkeepers we already have on our books, but he's better than what we have at the moment. And if we can afford him, then why not go for it? We need someone to be really pushing our goalkeepers and, with lees than a week remaining in the transfer market, I believe we need a new striker and at least one defender, probably a right-back. At least Romelu Lukaku is staying although, like a lot of supporters, I'm disappointed with some of his comments this summer. He did the same last year. It was Groundhog Day for him, and now he's going nowhere. I don't know who is advising him, but he needs to have a word with him. Players seem to have it all their own way at the moment. There are some good things to the way players have more power, but it's perhaps gone too far in their direction. There's not a loyalty to clubs these days. But, by the same token, if a club doesn't want a particular player, they're often happy to just consign him to the scrapheap.

I was thinking about whether we have funding for big signings, so I'm hoping that if we don't have money for Hart then it's because it's being used elsewhere. Koeman said he needed 3 keepers, but maybe he's happy to let Joel and Stekelenburg fight it out and use a reserve if necessary.

Koeman seemed very final with his "No interest" followed by a stare, so that's different than not wanting to talk about other players, so why so stony-faced? I read into that, that maybe we'd had discussions and wrote them off.

Joe Hart is quitting Manchester City to join Torino on loan. Hart is expected to jet out to Italy tomorrow to complete his season-long loan switch after being dumped by City boss Pep Guardiola. The England No 1 has been given permission by Sam Allardyce to leave the Three Lions squad at St George's Park and undergo a medical in Turin. Hart, 29, has opted for Torino ahead of Sunderland because he feels playing this season in Serie A can resurrect his club career.
