David Moyes wants Phil Jagielka reunion at SunderlandWith the January window approaching quicker than Romelu Lukaku can raise his hand in an offside position, ok maybe not that quick, speculation returns to the rumour that David Moyes will once again be reunited with Phil Jagielka.
Phil has looked anything but steady in the Everton back line this season, and with the likelihood that boss Ronald Koeman will add more solidity to his defence, it could be curtains for he who say "Yeah Definitely" to just about every question, accept "Can you defend?".
David Moyes is in a tricky situation, in that it will be difficult to attract top talent to perennial relegation candidates Sunderland, and Jagielka may fancy the warmth of Moyes' breast, as a place to rekindle old form under the ex Everton boss.
Certainly his days are numbered at Everton, both as a Defender and as a Captain, and with Phil's contract soon to expire, it's likely he'll receive the same fate as Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar, and Tony Hibbert if he stays, as Everton look to lower the age of the squad.
Everton fans are unlikely to see Lamine Kone come the other way though, as Koeman has his eyes fixed firmly on a reunion with Virgil van Dijk, who this week signed with Koeman's own agent.
So, get yer bets on, before the bookies get wind, or my name's not David Prentice. (It's actually not, but it could have been)
