Lamine Kone has rejected the offer of a new contract from Sunderland as he looks to force through a move to Everton, according to reports from the Daily Mail. The Ivorian defender was one of the stars of the Black Cats’ successful battle against relegation last term as he slotted seamlessly into Sam Allardyce’s team following his winter arrival from Lorient. Do we need another centre half? I know this fella is a beast and would take over from Jags, but surely a cb is not priority now, attacking play maker and a striker are more important. What do you reckon Tony? Would you splash cash on him?

I'm ok if we do and ok if we don't. It's just if you'd have asked me to name 100 players I wanted at Everton I don't think I'd have thought about him. Me neither Jimmy. He's emerged from nowhere and I don't understand the high fee given where they finished in the league.

I would buy him, a no nonsense defender, big powerful not to be messed with but... We need a striker even if Rom stays a CB is not priority.

Apparently Kone has been left out of the game against Middlesbrough this week, Moyes says he's injured, but when have we believed what Moyes says? Mori is a blue until Kenwright gets a big offer for him. I hope Mori improves this season.
