According to reports from the Sunday Mirror (19/1; page 66), Everton have joined the race to sign AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek in the January transfer window. I'm sceptical that we'll sign anybody in January. Brands has long stated he doesn't like the January market, so I think the best we can hope for is a loan.

Everton are eyeing up a potential deal for Inter Milan ace Matias Vecino, with Carlo Ancelotti keen to sign a midfielder in the January transfer window. Vecino, 28, is up for sale at the San Siro as Inter look to raise funds to buy either Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen or Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal this month. I've never heard of him. Has anybody else? Everton maintain a ‘strong interest’ in Inter Milan midfielder Matías Vecino although there has not been any official bid as yet. The Blues have been linked with several central midfielders this month as that is a weak area for the squad at present. Vecino is one who has been heavily linked with a move, with Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti thought to be a fan from his time at Napoli. That is very much the case, according to FC Inter News, who say the Premier League club still have a ‘strong interest’ in signing

Martinez bringing in Wigan players, Koeman etc etc. At least Ancelotti has been at sime good clubs.

TeamTalk claim Leicester City, Everton, Southampton and Bournemouth have all been monitoring the centre-back in recent weeks and are considering a move.
Taylor, 20, has made two appearances for Sunderland this season in the EFL Trophy against Grimsby Town and in the FA Cup defeat away to Gillingham in November.
