A decent player not sure he's worth 25M though. Weird that I'm weary of us spending that amout of money when just 12 months ago I'd have loved us to be able to spend that amount.

It's a bit of an obvious rumour given Koeman's comments 'pre' England match at the Euro's, so I'd take it with a big pinch of salt.

Swansea City star Gylfi Sigurdsson to reject £25m Everton FC move and sign new Liberty dealIceland Euro 2016 ace ready to give Swans huge boost by putting put pen to paper on new contract amid talk of Everton.Swansea City's star man Gylfi Sigurdsson is ready to turn down Everton and put pen to paper on a new four-year contract with the Welsh club, according to fresh reports. The Iceland Euro 2016 colossus has been subject of talk Everton want to land him in a £25m swoop, with champions Leicester and Southampton also firmly in the hunt. But the Sun on Sunday claim 26-year-old Sigurdsson is about to sign a new deal that will keep him at the Liberty Stadium until he is 30. WalesOnline has previously reported that the Swans' new US investors were ready to make handing Sigurdsson a new contract a priority. Sigurdsson still has two years left on his current deal, but the Swans are keen to tie him to a better contract to ward off the sudden interest after his stunning exploits in Euro 2016. Sigurdsson's stock has soared since he helped Iceland march to the quarter-finals, playing a key role as the minnows embarrassed England 2-1 in the last 16. Two German clubs, Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin, are also said to be monitoring Sigurddson post-France. Two other key Swans, skipper Ashley Williams and striker Andre Ayew, are also said to be subject of big money bids. Everton want Williams and some reports claim a £10m deal has already been struck. Ayew is wanted by West Ham. Wales Online

Why are players saying no to us if we are genuinely on the rise? Stoke and Swansea players would rather stay than join the billionaire facelift at Everton?

We've never really been linked with him though have we. Koeman said he liked him but it was hardly an admission of intent.
