Yes I know. It just seeemed too acurate to have been written 2-3 years ago. After having said that The report is unbelievably right. Let's get rid soon before he takes us down next season. the board don't read things like this so not expecting them to sack martinez anytime soon, are you? I think he will be gone in every scenario unless we win the cup.

And here's what Swansea fans had to say courtesy of NSNO
This is the second segment of this series (last week Liverpool, Stoke and Newcastle took part) and we'll be looking at the views of Manchester City, Sunderland, Cardiff and probably the most interesting of all Swansea fans.
1) What do you make of Roberto Martinez? will he be a success at Everton?
" Martinez is a good fit for Everton. Tactically astute and attack minded. I've always liked him and I think Everton have done very well to bring him in (considering what else was on offer...). Will he be a success? Who know's. We don't know if Pellegrini is going to be a success. The swamp dwellers are eyeing Moyes very nervously. Can Mourinho do it again at Chelsea? These are all good managers, but it's all about context and timing. But my gut feeling is Martinez has the attributes to do well at Everton. "
" I think he is not as good a manager as David Moyes was for your club, I also think Martinez is a little over rated, Wigan struggled to stay up virtually every season he managed them right up until he got them relegated. Yes he had little resources, but lets be honest Everton's financial situation isn't brilliant either and you may end up on the slide with him."
" Brendan Rodgers took all the credit for the way Swansea played from lazy London centric journalists but it was in fact Martinez who was the architect and put in the hard yards intensively coaching our boys to play a more Spanish style of football. He recognised that our squad's strengths were technical and creative and he honed that, Roberto just added more of the same types, bargains as well. The team would NOT play it long in any circumstance, De Vries became our sweeper Keeper, we played 4-5-1 with a target man who plays in others and wingers. All things seen as Rodgers hallmarks but actually put in place by Martinez. It was very entertaining to watch and games would quite often finish 3-2/4-3 etc. Our flaw was the defence, specifically set pieces, and I see this was a problem for Wigan also. Will he be a success? I may end up with egg on my face here but I'm going to say NO. To date his successes are running away with the League 1 title with us and an FA cup win with Wigan....but a cup win wasn't a measure of success at Wigan, staying in the Premiership was, and although he did well to keep them up for a few years he ultimately failed (I doubt we'll see Wigan back in the Premier unless they make it this year). He never addressed those defensive issues. "
"This is the appointment that will make or break Judas. Nowhere to hide, a club with fans that won't take to his bullshit. His teams play nice football but until he learns how to organise a back 4/back 3 he'll never truly be as good as Whelan and the journalists who he's cast his spell upon will have you believe. His character is shady at best. He's the master of saying what people want to hear. In short, If he served you pasta and sauce, it would be wise to check under the sauce to see if it was pasta. He'll be off like a rat up a drainpipe if the opportunity came along to enhance his position. He slagged players off for chasing the buck and promised non contracted staff jobs (with mortgages and family to pay for) even though he knew he was off. "
" Personally like the bloke, quite fancied us going for him when we sacked MON before PDC however I think he may be slightly out of his depth. Especially if results at the start of the season don't go your way he may well come under some pressure around Christmas time. "
" Decent in terms of style but has achieved little due to being a such a poor club up to this point. Hard to judge. Safe appointment but doubt he will do as well as Moyes. Seems a decent bloke though which is a big plus. "
" Completely different style of football to what Moyes played, my concern would be that his teams set up to play attacking, this may suit your players more than I think but one thing a Martinez team does is ship goals, I personally would prefer the Moyes brand as it is more rigid style which I think wins you more points in the long run in this tough league, football may be boring but premier league survival is a must for your club, could be a tough season could be a blinder mid table is my prediction. "
" I think he'll have a slow start but will deliver a top five finish if patience is on his side" " Martinez is a good manager and loyal too. The last thing you lot needed was a 6 month stint under someone who couldn't steady the ship after Moyes"
2) What do you make of our transfer business this summer with the additions of Kone, Joel Robles, Alcaraz and Deulofeu joining the squad?
" I think that Kone is not the best buy in the world but he will do a job and strikers have been going for a premium this year so you probably got value for money with him, Alcaraz, is a very average player for the premier league, he is decent enough but I am not sure he actually improves your squad. The other two I do not know of so can't comment. "
" And the new arrivals? Kone is OK (but only that). You got Alcaraz on a free from Wigan didn't you? Good business if so. Deulofeu is the unknown - promising but unproven player, but a loan so low risk. One of those "could be the bargain signing of the season" type deals. I don't know much about Robles - had to Google him to discover he's the new keeper!"
" Can't say I've paid too much attention but Kone is a good player don't know much about Alcaraz apart from he scored a good goal against us and if that Joel is the 'keeper that Wigan had then I really don't rate him from what I've seen. Everton have a good squad and I imagine most of Roberto's attention will be focused on getting the existing players to play his style. "
" You are the new Wigan "
" Not greatly impressive. Kone will score goals but not a lot in my opinion. Alcaraz is a good defender but I wouldn't place him ahead of Distin or Jagielka. Robles won't be anything more than a back-up I presume? Deulofeu is highly rated but being so young makes me wonder if he'll be able to have an impact "
" In one word: underwhelming. I know Everton don't have loads to spend but recruiting players from Wigan isn't a step in the right direction in my opinion Kone will be a good impact sub (if he doesn't start) and as for the lad from Barca, who knows. "
" Deulofeu is a great addition but I feel Martinez has played the safe card by adding players he knows and is comfortable around when sometimes that doesn't pay off well and they don't blend in with the players already there. "
" Be honest with you haven't heard of them, Kone will score goals at this level and probably more than at Wigan as he has better players and ball deliverers around him, can't say much on the others but would assume they are used to Martinez style play so should fit in and hopefully deliver for you except against us. "
3) Where do you think Everton will finish? why?
" No idea where Everton will finish. If Martinez disrupts the current team foundation and it takes a while for things to settle then somewhere in the top half of the table is your best hope, but if he hits the ground running and smoothly builds on what you've got - 5th or 6th is a distinct possibility. I'd start by focussing on finishing above Liverpool. "
" 7th. The best of the rest or the weakest of the giants, whichever way you want to look at it. I think we'll give you a run for your money next season, but I think we'll finish 8th due to the extra European games. "
"If they both leave (think Baines will stay but still reckon Fellaini to Man Utd). I'd say around 10th-12th. You've got a good enough squad to steer clear of a relegation dog-fight but probably lack that bit of quality to challenge the big boys. "
" Mid table, The different style of play will ship more goals and to emulate what Moyes has done for 8/9 of his ten seasons is a big ask and anywhere near that what he achieves in terms of league position I would deem a success for Martinez. If you keep Baines and Fellaini I'd say 8th/9th, without them and no adequate replacements I'd say 11/12th but won't go down as there are far worse teams in the league. "
4) Was Roberto Martinez the best choice for Everton FC? if not, who was?
" I don't think Martinez is the best manager you could have got, Laudrup at Swansea might have been tempted to step up to Everton and I think he has done a great job in his year at Swansea and has better pulling power than someone like Martinez. "
" I think he is a very good manager, his teams play good football but his defences are usually pretty poor. I don't see who was out there that you could have got I know Laudrup was linked and he is a much better manager but I am not for a moment going to suggest you should have gone for him. "
" No. You need to be thinking outside the box for a new manager. Laudrup would have fitted the bill, but he wanted to stay with us. He said that a few clubs approached him in the summer. Bet Everton was one of them. "
" Not sure he was the right choice probably the cheapest, maybe going for Laudrup instead. Having said that he has had one decent season so bit of a gamble. Reckon you'll be fine with Martinez if he gets time to do it his way. Not sure the players you have are suited to his style mind although he did it at Wigan. "
" I honestly thought you'd be sniffing around Malky Mackay as I think this guy will be at the top one day, leaves nothing to chance and a great manger in my opinion. I was personally happy when Wigan were relegated as I knew Martinez would definitely jump at the chance to manage you, I also thought you'd go British as you've never had a foreign manager but times change and like I said he plays good football so your fans will be entertained but also frustrated at times as well. He's young and learning and I believe you have a good enough defence for his style to maybe work better than it has at his previous clubs, an interesting choice by Kenwright and Time will tell. "
" Well you were going to take Mackay off us at one point, Martinez was an okay choice but I can't help but feel if you wanted Champions League football or at least consistent top five finishes that you should have gone for a different type of approach, that Porto manager? "
