UFC 196: Conor McGregor vs Rafael dos Anjos OFF after Brazilian breaks his foot It was going to be one of the most-anticipated fights in recent times, but the bout has been postponed due to the injury
The UFC lightweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos is OFF after the Brazilian broke his foot. It was going to be one of the most-anticipated bouts in recent times, but it has now been postponed due to the injury. Irishman McGregor was vowing to become a two-weight UFC champion with victory, after securing the featherweight title in sensational fashion against Jose Aldo last year. He knocked his opponent out in a 14-second demolition job to cement his name as one of the biggest in MMA. McGregor's coach John Kavanagh believes his man will go on to win a title in at least three separate weight divisions before he calls it a day. "I think that would be fantastic," he told The 42. We're already talking about making history in a few weeks, but can you imagine what it will be like if Conor is the champion in three weight classes by the summer? "As time goes on, it's harder to predict what will happen in the future. Conor has a sort of unusual body type in that even though he can make featherweight; he's still a very big lightweight. "Given some time, as well as a bit of strength and conditioning work, he could also be a force at welterweight. This is an interesting time." Mirror

I reckon he picked himself an easier fight there against a boxer type like Diaz. I'm starting to go off him a bit the way he talks to other fighters though and think he needs to turn it in a bit as nobody likes a smart arse.
