I'm a bit angry about last night, their second goal should not have been allowed it was well off the pitch. Don't know what it is about refs and officials at the moment, but they seem to have it in for Everton and pull them for every single thing, yet let other teams get away with blue murder - it stinks! I can't defend Roberto anymore now, the guy is a liability and now has to go and in my opinion, the sooner the better I just feel so sorry for all those travelling toffees, who went all that way it must be heartbreaking for them, but all respect for their incredible support for the blues. Well, where do we go from here..... It's good to remember that Roberto didn't cause us to lose the game last night. What I see is lots of fans on Twitter waiting for the result of the semi before condemning him, yet many of them would have raised him on their shoulders had Everton won. If Roberto is the wrong manager, then he was the wrong one long before last nights game, and the same if he is the right one.

Roberto Martinez bemoaned the decision to allow Kevin de Bruyne's 70th-minute strike at the Etihad Stadium as Everton's Capital One Cup hopes came to an end with a 4-3 aggregate defeat. After Ross Barkley's stunning first-half opener had been cancelled out by Fernandinho's deflected effort, De Bruyne turned in Raheem Sterling's cross to put City 2-1 ahead on the night and level the tie at 3-3 - but replays showed the ball had clearly gone out of play before Sterling centred. Sergio Aguero then scored with 14 minutes remaining to send City to Wembley. "We started really well with strong personality and we fed off our fans - but then [the third goal] was always going to be important after we cancelled out the away goal aspect of the tie,” explained Martinez. “It was a clear decision that should have been given - the ball was out of play. And that goal affected the outcome of the semi-final too much. “On one side you feel so hurt because there have been a few big decisions go against us lately, but then it should give us inspiration to pay our fans back by getting them to Wembley this season. “We still want to make our season count. Tonight was a very hurtful way of not making the step to Wembley, but we need to use it as motivation to get even better.” Martinez paid further tribute to the 7,292 Evertonians who travelled to the Etihad Stadium and sang in support of the team right up until the final whistle. He added: ”They were incredible. I felt even in that wrong manner to allow the goal to stand that we would get a break with that voice behind us. The way that they were at the start of the game, the greeting we got as we came out of the tunnel - it gave us a belief that we could do what we wanted to do in scoring the first goal. “The decision is tough to take but as a football club we need to see the signs that if we all push together and if we’re all patient enough, we’ll get the rewards and make sure that one day we look back on this moment, this hurt and say it made us fulfil the potential that we have in that dressing room.”

We definitely have a bad time over us in terms of luck, psychology and defense. Hope this going to change soon. One of our problems is that we don't win games convincingly enough for these issues not to seem like deciding factors. Nobody cares if a ball was out in a game that you win, but it is the end of the world in a game when you lose. It shouldn't happen in 2016 regardless, as technology should have it covered, but they won't want technology if it removes all opportunity of corruption, if the governing bodies are corrupt, as they need refs to be able to make mistakes in order for corruption to be successful.

Maybe Seamus couldn't do the full 90. I think Stones could also play in midfield. I'd have stones moved in the middle. I think he'd excel there and at least his mistakes won't immediately lead to a goal...well maybe. He'll be fine where he is once he settles. He has to be allowed to learn from his mistakes and although he has made a few he hasn't really made a lot, so I think that he shouldn't be the center of attention in that respect. He's more a victim of circumstance because our season has been bad.

What do you think about the crowd trouble between our two sets of fans recently?
