Is New Zealand 2 separate islands? I didn't realise just how small it was compared to Australia when looking on the map. Yes North and South Islands. Which would be the best to live Deip? NZ population is 4.5 mio. 1.5 mio live in Auckland which is the commercial hub of the country. And a really nice city although property prices are outrageous. NZ is being seen very much as a popular place to migrate to (from Europe and USA) and Auckland seems to be the destination of choice. Me?...if I had a lazy couple of million I would be down in the South Island on a ten acre lifestyle block completely 'off the grid'. Beautiful place, quieter than the North Island (generally speaking). PS: I infortunately don't have a lazy couple of million!!!.

We'll have to start different threads so we know where we are with things. New Zealand sounds like a fabulous place by all accounts. Do you have the same creepie crawlies as the Aussies?
