Manchester City favourite Mike Summerbee is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces at Goodison Park on Sunday. The former forward spent 10 years of his career at Manchester City, the side Everton will square off against in their second home fixture of the season. Having faced the Blues on many occasions in his playing days, Summerbee knows he will be warmly welcomed when he makes the trip to Goodison. “Absolutely!” he smiles. “It’s always good to come back and catch up with Howard Kendall and the lads. We used to kick lumps out of each other, but as soon as the whistle went it was brilliant in the players’ lounge. Great friendships came out of it. “Everton had some great players in my day. Ray Wilson was the best left-back ever, Brian Labone was fantastic to play against and Gordon West was always a character who used to get a rise out of me. And when Johnny Morrissey was playing left wing and I was on the right, we used to have an agreement where we stayed in the opposite half! “I’ve also known Bill Kenwright for around 35 years and he’s a gentleman. “Then of course there is Gareth Barry from when he was at City. I was very sad to see him go when he left City as he was one of my favourite players. He was a major cog in our side. He very rarely gave the ball away and still is a great player.” Summerbee features in Sunday’s programme, available around the ground at £3.50. He joins Roberto Martinez and Phil Jagielka in the issue, with the pair giving their exclusive thoughts on facing an in-form Manchester City side. Elsewhere, Gerard Deulofeu – who made his second Everton debut in the 3-0 win over Southampton last Saturday – is the featured interviewee, discussing his aspirations over the coming campaign. On top of that you have Michael Ball, Graeme Sharp, an in-depth look at City and a special kids section!

I want us to attack City and keep in their face. Fight hard for every lose ball and press them heavily into mistakes. No reason we can't take the points tomorrow,
