I could never understand that. If I built a games console, I'd build a games console. It would be high end at as good a s PC. I'm wondering if it's because it'll be too expensive to buy? Also, I guess you can upgrade PCs. You'll be amazed how many adults play on consoles. I'm not saying they are strictly for children, just that it's my view of them. How can you build a games console that can rival a pc without it being a pc? #dont know# Example: The reason I use a pc for gaming is because the quality of graphics and game play is far superior. At the time of build, my graphics card alone cost more than the latest console, and probably nearly as big (another reason why in the space a console has you can't possibly have top end components). A pc is also going to play every game in my collection, and have no backwards compatibility issues deliberately built in forcing me to buy new games at ridiculous prices. When I built it (about 3 years ago, maybe more), the total cost of the build using dedicated gaming parts was about 2 grand, so you can imagine that a console can't get anywhere near the performance or quality, and instead offers 'acceptable' standards. New pc builds are much better than mine again, as technology improves, but I can still max out every game on the market, without even discussing the other aspects of a pc. Here is an old example:

I thought the cost would play a major factor. Personally, I can't be bothered with building a PC, although I would love to. I'm going to buy a PS4 if the bundle it with FIFA 15.

For me, I use computers all day, so it's important to have the best I can afford, or at least it was at the time, as I gamed with teams back then, but even after spending so much they still get little niggles. Building one is fairly straight forward as far as parts go once you've chosen the hardware, and much cheaper than buying one pre-built, but you need a 'little' bit of know how, but not too much. You tend to research 'everything' and by the time you have built it, you are quite an expert on all the latest options, but it's a knowledge that quickly expires and becomes useless as parts evolve and yours become dated. If you buy a pc, and a console, it can still run expensive. I've notice consoles are incorporating lots of pc technology, such as Internet, dvd playback, tv, bigger memory, and so on, but the prices of games soon add up as I've found with buying them for the kids etc.

I usually buy Fifa and football manager, these days and then the odd game here and there if one really captures my attention.

I like the look of this but it's not out for a while. Is it on all platforms or just pc?
