Everton FC plan to send young defender Tyias Browning out on loan to a Championship club next season. The 21-year-old will become a full-time member of the Blues’ first-team set up come August but manager Roberto Martinez wants Browning to have a short spell away from Goodison.
Martinez is keen for the Academy graduate to get around 20 games under his belt in the second tier of English football as Everton prepare him for the senior stage. Browning was sent to Wigan Athletic in January last year but only made two appearances before being recalled. The Blues have forged links with Brentford and Cardiff City this season having sent Chris Long and Conor McAleny, respectively, on loan, there while Bolton Wanderers would also be a potential suitor for the talented defender. Browning, who signed a new three year deal in August, made his first-team debut as a late substitute in the derby at Anfield in September before playing against Manchester United and Krasnodar before Christmas. The right-footed centre-half has been involved in several matchday squads this season and was on the bench for two Europa League games away from home. Martinez has high hopes for Browning and is understood to be thrilled with his attitude and the youngster said he will return to pre-season training early to ensure he is fully fit for Everton’s trip to Singapore in July. The Everton boss is also likely to send Brendan Galloway, who will join Browning in the first-team squad next term, out on loan next term. By Phil Kirkbride / Echo

What was the point of loaning him to Wigan just to sit on the bench?

What was the point of loaning him to Wigan just to sit on the bench? Indeed, bet Tylas thought it was a waste of his time to. Now I wonder whose bench he will be decorating this season.....

It looks like Jags is the first name on the sheet after the awards. Our youngsters have little chance at Everton. Stones was very lucky to get his chance.

should put a requirement that he gets so many appearances as part of loan deal , this is a common clause that big clubs use to guarantee their players get vital playing time during their loan period
