Everton ‘set to launch £10 million transfer bid to sign Manchester United centre-back Jonny Evans’Everton are reportedly set to launch a £10 million transfer bid to sign Manchester United centre-back Jonny Evans this summer. The Toffees are keen to bolster their defensive options to replace the ageing Sylvain Distin and believe Evans would be an excellent signing. The Northern Ireland captain, 27, has struggled to hold down a permanent starting role at Old Trafford this season and could be moved on, according to Goal. Evans is an experienced defender and there’s no doubt that he would add some much needed steel to Everton’s back line. Metro

I'm not really confident about a) us having a lot of money to spend in the summer and b) Martinez's ability to spot a decent player. I've got to admit, Martinez has left me unexcited.
