Leicester City have parted company with manager Nigel Pearson after Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace left the club languishing at the bottom of the Premier League table with just 14 games remaining.
Pearson, who was appointed for a second spell at the King Power Stadium in 2011, was summoned to a meeting by the clubs owners 24 hours after he was captured on television cameras appearing to grab James McArthur by the throat after the Palace midfielder accidently collided with him on the touchline. It is understood that the incident played a part in Thai owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and his board’s decision to part company with the 51-year-old, although a record of just four wins and five draws from their 24 games so far was also to blame. Doesn't look to be more than Pearson trying to reassure the lad who seems determined to walk off.
My guess - lad says something while on ground / Pearson jokes about strangling him then laughs / lad has huff / Pearson tries to restrain player from walking off in huff
Looking at it again, Pearson is clearly laughing, lad seems to pat Pearsons shoulder in a friendly way, but Pearson keeps hold, so who knows.

It's afterwards where Pearson is still holding on to the lad and McArthur looks like he's trying to get away that looks dodgy.
Anyway check this out from the Guardian:
Two months after being banned for a game and fined £10,000 for swearing at one of his own side’s fans, Nigel Pearson was involved in another incident in his technical area – the Leicester manager appearing to put his hands around the neck of Crystal Palace’s James McArthur.
The confrontation happened when the midfielder accidentally knocked Pearson over. The manager reacted by grabbing McArthur and holding on to his shirt even when both were back on their feet. Asked why he had refused to let go of McArthur, who almost joined Leicester last summer only for the club’s two bids of £5m and £7m to be rejected by Wigan, Pearson said: “Because he said something to me.” Asked to elaborate, he replied: “I don’t have to reveal anything, do I? I’m more than capable of looking after myself.
Pearson being sacked couldn't of happened at a worse time for Leicester.
