Burnley will have to switch their attentions elsewhere after reports in Italy claimed AC Milan are not looking to sell Giampaolo Pazzini in the January transfer window.
Sean Dyche has been strongly linked with a move for the Italy international who has a wealth of experience and played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
The Burnley manager is looking to add more firepower to his squad in the New Year and was hoping the attraction of playing in the Premier League would give him the edge to sign Pazzini.
The 30-year-old forward has struggled to command a regular first-team place this season, but despite his lack of action, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport is claiming that the talented forward is 'unsellable'.
Milan are believed to have turned down bids from Burnley and Parma and still feel Pazzini has a future with the club.

He's nearing the end now at 30, so no big deal for them.
Sell them Eto'o.

Apart from providing cover for injuries, Pazzini represents a make-weight in a cash+player deal, important due to FFP rules. Rumours linking them to a number of very pricey names are always circulating but a couple of English names keep recurring. Sterling, Rooney, Lalanna for instance.

There are no rumours linking Burnley with anyone more pricey than a decent mortgage...no, Milan are who I was talking about......
