The last couple of windows have been negotiated quite well by Palace. We've acquired a quality central defender -who admittedly can't jump but has proved pretty reliable- in Hangeland, a versetile and effective right/left back in Kellyand both MacArthur and Ledley in midfield. Up front, Doyle's been injured, AJ has brought experience to the squad and the training ground (will he make the transition to coaching with us?) and Campbell has been more than useful if not a devastating goal getter. Only Fryers has been a let-down....I think, when Spurs poached him from Manure, it was the loss of money that infuriated Sir Alex, not the loss of potential. Spurs fans don't seem bothered to have lost him and he can't reach the required level to appear in the Premiership in a Palace shirt. One bad deal...... Summer windows aren't that bad, but generally January windows see players who are out of favour being allowed to leave, and the last thing clubs at the bottom want are can't be arsed players.
