Roberto Martinez reported no fresh injury problems ahead of the visit of Swansea City, meaning Kevin Mirallas (hamstring) and John Stones (ankle) are Everton's only definite absentees.
Bryan Oviedo and Arouna Kone are fit but likely to appear in behind-closed-doors games at Finch Farm next week before returning to action.
Swansea are boosted by the rescinding of central defender Federico Fernandez’s red card against Liverpool in the midweek Capital One Cup tie.
The Argentina international (below) was sent off for a tackle on Phillipe Coutinho but the decision has been overturned and Fernandez is free to resume his promising start to the campaign following his summer switch from Napoli. The Swans rested Lukasz Fabianski, Wayne Routledge and Wilfried Bony for the League Cup clash at Anfield and the trio are expected to return.
Having limped off in their last league outing against Leicester City, Gylfi Sigurdsson should reclaim a place in the City line-up having missed the trip to Merseyside, while fellow midfielder Ki Sung-yeung has shrugged off a shoulder problem.
Form
Both Everton and Swansea come into this weekend’s clash on the back of Premier League victories, having secured three points against Burnley and Leicester City respectively.
Swansea started the season well, securing league wins against Manchester United, Burnley and West Bromwich Albion, along with their Capital One Cup victories over Rotherham United and Everton.
But Garry Monk’s side suffered a dip in form, slipping to defeats against Stoke City, Southampton and Chelsea, as well as draws against Newcastle United and Sunderland.
A brace from Wilfred Bony (below) helped Swansea defeat the Foxes last weekend to earn their first league win since August, leaving the South Wales outfit sixth in the Barclays Premier League with 14 points.
Last MeetingEverton 3-2 Swansea City, Saturday 22nd March 2014
The Blues took all three points when Swansea last visited Goodison Park, a victory which set a record of eight straight wins on home soil for the first time since the 1985/86 campaign.
Leighton Baines put Everton ahead from the penalty spot, but the Toffees found themselves level pegging at the interval after Wilfried Bony equalised for the visitors.
However, two goals in a space of five second-half minutes from Romelu Lukaku (below) and Ross Barkley secured maximum points for Roberto Martinez's side.
Earlier this season, Everton travelled to the Liberty Stadium for a Capital One Cup tie but it was the Welsh side who progressed through to the next round with a 3-0 win.
One to Watch - Wilfried BonySwansea secured the services of Wilfried Bony in July 2013 after the forward impressed for Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, finding the net 36 times in 36 games in all competitions.
He continued his prolific goal scoring form in his first season for the Jacks, scoring 25 times in all competitions, earning him the club’s Players’ Player of the Year award.
And, after finding goals hard to come by during the opening weeks of the campaign, the powerful forward has shown signs of hitting his stride again in recent weeks.
His brace in the victory over Leicester City made it four goals in three games and the Ivorian will be looking to continue that scoring form should he come up against the Blues back line at Goodison Park.
