Another great well written blog Cumbrian ToffeeDo we really want lots of crosses though? I find crosses are becoming a dying tactic in modern football, with clubs these days preferring to 'play' the striker in. Lukaku is a big lad, but Naismith not so much, so do we put it in high against big defenders or keep it low and allow the pace of our attackers to dictate? I'd like to see our corners played short a lot more too, as we haven't seen much success from corners for a long time. Just feel watching Liverpool this season, there seems to be some confusion between the keeper and both centre backs. Think sometimes is good to exploit the oppositions weakness, thought Villa had great success with whipping balls into the box and a bit more composure could have nicked a few goals. I'd much prefer to ball the attacking style of football, but reckon Rom & Eto could have some success with headers, good to mix it up a bit I suppose.

It would be interesting to see how many headers we scored last season from crosses. I don't have the stats, but they'll be out there somewhere.
