MATCH FACTS Head-to-head
Everton's only two victories in the past 19 competitive meetings both came at home in the Premier League: 4-0 in April 2019 and 1-0 in April 2022. The Toffees could become the first team to lose 40 Premier League games to a single opponent. They and Spurs have both suffered 39 defeats against Manchester United. United did the league double over Everton last season and can win consecutive Premier League matches at Goodison Park for the first time since a run of three from 2005 to 2007. Everton
Everton's 10-point deduction for breaching the Premier League's financial rules has dropped them from 14th place to 19th on four points. The only team to have four points or fewer after 12 Premier League matches and avoid relegation was Everton themselves in 1994-95. They have earned 10 points from their last five games, a record only Manchester United (12) and Liverpool (11) can better. The Toffees are vying to earn consecutive league wins for the first time in 13 months. They have equalled the club record of 10 home league defeats in a calendar year, set on four previous occasions. Sean Dyche's side have scored an unrivalled five goals in the opening 15 minutes of Premier League games this season. Dyche's only victory in his 15 Premier League fixtures as a manager versus Manchester United came in charge of Burnley at Old Trafford in January 2020 (D5, L9). Manchester United
Manchester United have registered three successive Premier League away wins for the first time since a run of 10 from June to December 2020. All three victories were against teams who begin the latest round of fixtures in the bottom six of the table. All seven of their league wins this season were by a one-goal margin. They have lost 16 of their 56 matches in all competitions in 2023, last faring worse 22 years ago when they suffered 17 defeats in 55 games. United have only led for 130 minutes in the Premier League this season, which is 169 minutes fewer than Everton. Erik ten Hag has accrued 30 wins and 96 points in 50 Premier League fixtures. Among current managers in the division, only Pep Guardiola fared better in his first 50 games. Marcus Rashford has scored one goal in 16 club appearances this season and his only goal in 16 matches against Everton was a penalty in a FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.

Sean Dyche has affirmed the 10-point deduction handed out by the Premier League commission last week will not derail his Everton side, who are ready to fight the adversity by going "harder for longer and play stronger".
League action resumes this weekend following the latest international break, with the Toffees welcoming Manchester United side to Goodison Park on Sunday (4.30pm GMT).
It will be Everton's first game since the Premier League commission's decision to dock the Blues 10 points, which the Club has already announced its intention to appeal.
Despite echoing the Club's view that the commission's ruling was 'wholly disproportionate and unjust', the Blues boss has insisted his team are ready to embrace the challenge that lies ahead of them.
Speaking at Friday's press conference held at Finch Farm, he said: "Like everyone in these parts, I was shocked [by the decision]. The wave of noise after that suggests most people around football are shocked. The enormity of it, disproportionate is a word that has been used by the Club. Obviously, we are going to feel aggrieved by that.
"On the other hand, it doesn't change the focus. The focus since I got here has been sorting things out on the pitch. Getting the team to win, getting the team to feel different, the performances to feel different. We were on the right lines for that, then this has given us a push backwards but only to come forward again. The job hasn't changed.
"This enhances what we are doing. We have to go harder for longer and play stronger. They are the rules of football and this is what it is."
Everton went into the international break in fine form, dispatching Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park to make it three victories from their past four outings.
That result had the Blues eight points clear of the relegation zone, subsequently looking upwards rather than over their shoulders. While that cushion has now been eroded, Dyche explained he has been impressed by the reaction of his players who have rallied to make sure the positive feel within the camp is maintained.
"The group has been very good in themselves, I must say," revealed Dyche. "The characters we have got, particularly Seamus is a good voice. Youngy with his experience, Tarky, Jordan and many others. Gana and Doucs, people like that with experience.
"All the senior boys are rallying and saying, 'It is what it is, let's get on with it'. So that has been the clear message from me to the players and them to each other. Let's take it on, let's take on the next challenge. There's been plenty of them since I have been here, so let's take them on."
With the events of the past week, Goodison Park looks set to be at its thundering best on Sunday with Evertonians keen to help the team in every way they can. On the fans, Dyche added: "I've said all along the fans have been terrific since I have got here.
"The ups and downs, ins and outs, they stay resolute and behind the team. [The decision] will only enhance that. They will feel it's unjust and they will be ready to deliver as well as we do."

Idrissa Gana Gueye returns to the Everton starting XI for today's clash against Manchester United as the only change from the team that beat Crystal Palace 3-2 two weeks ago.
The Senegal international came off the bench to replace Amadou Onana in that contest and scored the game's winning goal six minutes from time.
He starts alongside James Garner and Abdoulaye Doucoure, with Onana missing the game through a calf injury.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to lead Everton's attack, flanked by Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil.
Captain James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite form the central defence while Vitalii Mykolenko and Ashley Young start in the full-back positions, with Jordan Pickford in goal.
Seamus Coleman has made his long-awaited return to the squad and is among the substitutes while Beto is unavailable.
