Everton will complete their preparations for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign with a pre-season friendly against Portuguese giants Sporting Clube de Portugal at Goodison Park on Saturday 5 August (3pm BST). The Blues’ summer schedule has also been finalised with a trip to League One side Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on Saturday 22 July (2pm BST), the same day and kick-off time an Everton XI, featuring Under-21s players, takes on Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. Sean Dyche’s squad will host Rúben Amorim’s Sporting at the Grand Old Lady seven days before they are due to kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Fulham, managed by former Everton and Sporting manager Marco Silva. Sporting finished fourth in Portugal’s Primeira Liga in 2022/23 and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Tickets details for the clash against the Lisbon club will be announced on Everton Club channels in due course. Everton’s match with Sporting is added to a pre-season schedule that will see the Blues start their summer against Swiss club Stade Nyonnais in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday 14 July (6pm local time, 5pm BST) as part of a training camp on the French-Swiss border. An allocation of 500 tickets will be on sale for Everton supporters for the match, with on-sale dates to be confirmed soon. Following the Wigan and Tranmere matches on Saturday 22 July, Dyche will take his Blues squad to League One club Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday 25 July (7.45pm), ahead of a trip to the Bet365 Stadium to face Championship outfit Stoke City on Saturday 29 July (3pm).
