I don't know about the rest of you, but I personally can't wait for the new league to start.
With the disappointment of the World Cup, and a fairly lack lustre pre-season, it will be great to finally get back to matches that actually mean something, and hopefully we can start the season in strong fashion, with 3 points against newcomers Leicester City.
BTW: Did you know their owners are amongst the richest in the game?

Leicester give us the chance to get off to a good startEverton FC v Leicester City FC at Supachalasai National Stadium in Bangkok in a pre season friendly The opening day has never been easy for us has it? I remember a few times our first game of the season coming against Arsenal so it’s no wonder we’ve never really made a great start. There is that much build up to the first game you kind of just want it out of the way. Everyone was so nervous but this year we’ve been handed a decent start. Leicester will have a lot of momentum behind them and I’m sure it will be a full house at the King Power Stadium so it won’t be easy by any means – at least it’s not Arsenal, though. But I’m on Twitter now and I’ve seen a lot of fans getting fidgety about the pre-season results. What they don’t realise is that the players will have had a heavy training session in the morning before and the game will be a part of their programme. It’s unfortunate because they will want to see the new signings looking sharp but they’re coming off a heavy loaded four or five weeks of training. In fact, I can’t ever remember us having an outstanding pre-season. It’s not until the intensity drops the week before that you get your legs back so I really wouldn’t pay any attention to the results. For the World Cup players it will be tough, though. When I came back from the Korea/Japan tournament in 2002 it took me a few weeks to get back up to speed but that’s not just for us, that’ll be the same for all clubs with World Cup players, so we can’t really use it as an excuse if we get off to a slow start to the season. I've done a questionnaire for this one to welcome Leicester City back to the Prem, as I think they've had a very interesting 10-15 years of recent history, and well worth a read. www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/
