Welcome To The 235th Merseyside Derby
Just 32 days after Everton and Liverpool crossed swords in the Premier League, the Blues are back at Anfield this afternoon as both clubs start out in the 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup.
As an Evertonian, you could be forgiven for believing a longer time had elapsed since we last journeyed across Stanley Park, seven fixtures, a four-game caretaker spell for Duncan Ferguson and the heralded arrival of three-time Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti all having occurred in between meetings.
And so this afternoon is a first chance for Ancelotti to do battle in a Merseyside derby. He has already beaten Jurgen Klopp's side this season, Napoli having recorded a 2-0 victory over the Reds in a Champions League clash in September.
Can there be a repeat? Will Everton march on? Stick with us for updates throughout the afternoon and reaction from the players and manager as soon as we can get it after the full-time whistle.
A side note. This is the 235th Merseyside derby and the 25th all-time coming together of the two clubs in the FA Cup, making it the most played fixture both in English football history and that of this revered, illustrious competition. Come on you, Blues.

Carlo Ancelotti has made two changes to Everton’s team for Sunday’s FA Cup Merseyside derby encounter.
Theo Walcott and Morgan Schneiderlin comes into the side at Anfield, with midfield pair Tom Davies and Fabian Delph on the bench.
Frenchman Schneiderlin is set to play next to Gylfi Sigurdsson in the centre of the park.
Walcott, meanwhile, could operate in a three-pronged attack, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin at its tip and Richarlison on the left.
France international duo Lucas Digne and Djibril Sidibe are poised for wing-back roles.
Yerry Mina, Mason Holgate and captain Seamus Coleman are the trio at the heart of defence and Jordan Pickford continues in goal.
Davies and Delph are joined among Everton’s substitutes by Bernard, Moise Kean, Leighton Baines, Michael Keane and goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.

What's Klopp up to?
Clearly he's not risking his league title challenge for the FA Cup.
