1. Tottenham Stadium - Tottenham Hotspur
The £1bn, 60,400 capacity stadium officially opened on April 3 this year so is the newest ground in the Premier League. Although the months of delays were a set back, Spurs can now arguably boast one of the finest homes in world football. Features include a 65m-long Goal Line Bar, an in-house bakery and the world's first microbrewery in a stadium which can deliver up to 10,000 pints a minute.
2. London Stadium - West Ham United
Officially opened for the Olympic Games on May 6 2012 but West Ham didn't play their first game there until August 2016. Initial fixtures were marred by instances of crowd trouble due to stewarding issues. Major League Baseball and Rugby League has also taken place at the 60,000 capacity stadium.
3. American Express Community Stadium - Brighton and Hove Albion
Brighton's new home opened in July 2011 and has various names. Whether you call it the Falmer Stadium or like most, the AMEX it's proven a happy hunting ground for the Seagulls. The current record attendance of 30,682 was set at a Premier League match against Liverpool in January 2019.
4. The Emirates Stadium - Arsenal
Arsenal spent 96 years at Highbury before wishing the famous old stadium an emotional goodbye. Their new home, which cost £390m and was completed on time, was officially opened for Dennis Bergkamp's testimonial on July 22 2006. The Brazil national team have played eight matches at the Emirates Stadium.
5. Etihad Stadium - Manchester City
With a domestic football capacity of 55,097, the Etihad fifth-largest in the Premier League. Initially opened on July 25 for the 2002 Commonwealth games, Manchester City moved in on August 10 2003. City have won four of their six Premier League/First Division titles since making the move from Maine Road.
6. King Power Stadium - Leicester City
After leaving Filbert Street, the Foxes moved into the Walkers Stadium, now known as the King Power. The all-seater stadium opened on July 23 2002 and has a capacity of 32,313, the 20th largest football ground in England. Leicester famously celebrated their incredible Premier League triumph by being serenaded by opera singers Andrea Bocelli's powerful rendition of Nessun Dorma.
7. St Mary's Stadium - Southampton
Southampton's home is a complete bowl, with all stands of equal height. Costing £32m, it opened in August 2001. All stands, apart from the Itchen stand, can be built upon and expanded. Overall this would give an approximate capacity of around 50,000, and would cost a similar amount to how much it cost to build the stadium in the first place.
8. Dean Court - Bournemouth
Originally built in 1910, Dean Court was totally rebuilt in 2001. The pitch was rotated ninety degrees from its original position and the ground moved away from adjacent housing. In July 2017 the club confirmed it was looking to build a new stadium near the current site in Kings Park.
9. Carrow Road - Norwich City
Carrow Road opened in 1935 and has been Norwich's home ever since. The name "Carrow" originally refers to the former Carrow Abbey that once stood on the riverside. Built "miraculously built in just 82 days", the ground's record attendance is 43,984 but it has a 27,137 capacity as an all-seater stadium.
10. Selhurst Park - Crystal Palace
Built for £30,000 in August 1924, renovated in 1983, 1995, 2013 and 2014 and expanded in 1969 and 1994, Palace's home has seen a lot of upgrades over the years.Fellow London clubs Wimbledon and Charlton have both played at Selhurst Park at points in their existence.
11. Vicarage Road - Watford
Watford moved to Vicarage Road in August 1922 after playing at a ground on Cassio Road for 23 years. The Graham Taylor Stand was renamed for the 2014–15 season, taking its name from the club's most successful manager. The Sir Elton John Stand sits on the east side of the ground, and contains the changing rooms & tunnel.
12. Old Trafford - Manchester United
The Premier League's largest ground opened in 19 February 1910. A WWII German bombing raid in 1940 damaged the stadium to such an extent that a Christmas day fixture against Stockport County had to be switched to Stockport's ground. From 2003 to 2007, while Wembley was being rebuilt, Old Trafford hosted 12 of England's 23 home matches, more than any other stadium.
13. Villa Park - Aston Villa
Villa Park opened in 1897 at a cost of £16,733 which is less than £50m in today's money. Villa Park has 42,682 seats split between four stands, with the largest being the Holte End behind the south goal. The highest attendance recorded at Villa Park was 76,588, on 2 March 1946 in an FA Cup 6th round tie against Derby County.
14. Goodison Park - Everton
Everton's home was unveiled in 24 August 1892, 127 years ago. Generally considered to be the Premier League ground most in need of upgrading, the Toffees have been planning a new stadium for years.
15. Molineux - Wolverhampton Wanderers
Built in 1889, Molineux is a 32,050 all-seater stadium with a record attendance of 61,315. Plans were announced in 2010 for a £40m redevelopment programme to rebuild and link three sides of the stadium to increase capacity to 38,000 seats. There are provisional plans for a longer term redevelopment of every stand that could potentially create a 50,000 capacity.
16. Anfield - Liverpool
Anfield has been the home of Liverpool FC since their formation in 1892. It was also the home of Everton from 1884 to 1891, before they moved to Goodison Park after a dispute with the club president. The Reds intend to submit "ambitious new plans" for an Anfield Road End redevelopment which, if permitted, would increase the overall capacity of the stadium to comfortably above 60,000.
17. Turf Moor - Burnley
Burnley have played at Turf Moor since moving from its Calder Vale ground in 1883. This unbroken service makes Turf Moor the longest continuously used ground of any of the 49 teams which have played in the Premiership.
18. St James' Park - Newcastle United
St James' Park has been the home ground of Newcastle United since 1892 and has been used for football since 1880. Throughout its history, the desire for expansion has caused conflict with local residents and the local council. This has led to proposals to move at least twice in the late 1960s, and a controversial 1995 proposed move to nearby Leazes Park.
19. Stamford Bridge - Chelsea
Opened in 1877, the stadium was used by the London Athletic Club until 1905, when new owner Gus Mears founded Chelsea Football Club, who have played at the ground ever since. Chelsea have plans to expand capacity to 63,000 by the 2023–24 season. When expansion starts, the Blues intend to play at Wembley Stadium until they return in 2024.
20. Bramall Lane - Sheffield United
Bramall Lane, home of the Blades, is officially the Oldest Premier League stadium. Opened on April 30 1855, it's over two decades older than any other ground. The record attendance for the ground is 68,287 set at an FA Cup 5th Round tie between Sheffield United and Leeds United on 15 February 1936. The ground has now been extensively renovated in the wake of the Taylor Report, and has an all-seated capacity of 32,609.
